Heavy transport
Route planner for LHVs (longer heavier vehicles)
A longer and heavier vehicle combination (LHV, in Dutch LZV) may only use the roads that the road authorities have opened for it. Truckroute plans an LHV trip only on that network.
The RDW LHV network
The roads come from the RDW Digital Exemptions Road Map, the sum of what the national government, provinces, water boards and municipalities have opened. Truckroute refreshes the network every week. On the map it is the LHV network layer.

How to plan an LHV trip
Under Dimensions and weight, choose LHV. Truckroute then calculates with at least 25.25 m length and 60,000 kg, even if the number plate only gives the tractor, and plans only on the LHV network. If an address is not on it, the route says so.
An exemption is still required
Truckroute does not replace the LHV exemption. The exemption and the roads it lists remain binding; the RDW map prevails.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose LHV and abnormal load at the same time?
No, a trip is one or the other. Choose abnormal load for a transport with its own dimensions above the legal limits.
