On the road the Truckroute app works with what is happening right now: traffic jams and delays, closures, roadworks and alerts. Here you can see per country which live data we have and how often it is refreshed.

Luxembourg is included in the routes, but we do not have live traffic information there yet. Spain has no open live speeds.
How the route uses it
With the setting Take traffic jams into account in the app, a traffic jam counts in the route if you leave now: the app then chooses another road if that is faster. A closure or roadworks only count while they apply. The measured speed never makes a road faster than normal; a truck never drives faster than 80 km/h.
Where you see it
In the app the traffic jams are on the map and below the route, with the delay in minutes. In the Netherlands you also see the cause (accident, roadworks), the overhead signs per lane and, once and 1 km ahead, an arrow board in your direction. In Apple CarPlay the overhead signs are next to the map. Read also about the app.
Frequently asked questions
Does the route planner on the website also use live traffic jams?
The routes on the website use normal speeds and the closures that apply. Live traffic jams in the route are in the app, with the setting Take traffic jams into account.
Will more countries be added?
Yes, where there is an open or licensed source. This page shows what is live now.
