LHV
The LHV network: which roads an LHV may use
An LHV may not drive everywhere. The road authorities decide which roads are open; the RDW combines them in the Digital Exemptions Road Map. What is green there for LHV is the LHV network.
The network on the map
In Truckroute you switch on the LHV network layer and see the whole network in green. Truckroute fetches it from the RDW every week. Choose LHV under Dimensions and weight and the route stays on that network.
Recently opened roads
On its LHV page the RDW lists roads that are already open but not yet on the map, for example in South Holland, North Holland and North Brabant. Truckroute follows the RDW map; such a road is included once the RDW adds it to the map. When in doubt, check the RDW page.
In practice too
The RDW asks you to check the route in practice before driving, and to check road authorities and vanAnaarBeter.nl for roadworks and closures. Truckroute avoids the closures known for the time of your trip.
Frequently asked questions
How often does the LHV network change?
