Navigation

Navigating to a cadastral parcel

A field, a building plot or a meadow often has no address, but it does have a cadastral designation. With the Truckroute app you navigate straight there, with a truck or with an agricultural vehicle.

How to type it

A cadastral designation consists of the cadastral municipality, the section (one or two letters) and the parcel number. Type them in the normal address field, with or without the word perceel or kadastraal in front:

The cadastral municipality is not always today's municipality: it is the name on the cadastral records, often a former municipality or a village.

What the app does

The app looks up the parcel in the cadastral map of the Dutch Land Registry and shows it as a search result, with its area. If you choose it, the app draws the outline of the parcel on the map and navigates to its centre. The route ends on the road closest to that point; you drive the last bit across the land yourself.

On the phone and in CarPlay

Searching by cadastral designation works in the address field on the phone and in the CarPlay search screen. The parcel is then also shown on the map in the cab.

With a truck

For a truck the route calculates as always: with height, width, length, weight, the signs for trucks, the zones and the charges. Useful for construction, earthmoving, building materials to a plot, manure and feed to a farm, or a delivery to a place without an address.

With an agricultural vehicle

With the type Agricultural the route drives over the agricultural road map and the roads up to 60 km/h, never on the expressway or motorway, and around sign C8. See navigation for agricultural vehicles and navigation for agricultural contractors.

Other places without an address

For a spot along a motorway or N road, you navigate in the app to a hectometre post, on the left or right side of the road.

Navigation for agricultural vehicles is part of the Truckroute app, for iPhone (with CarPlay) and Android. Choose the vehicle type Agricultural, enter the dimensions and weight, and navigate. The route planner on this site calculates for trucks and coaches; only the app calculates the agricultural route.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work outside the Netherlands?

No, the cadastral map of the Dutch Land Registry covers the Netherlands.

Where do I find the cadastral designation of a parcel?

On the cadastral records, the deed of sale, an extract from the Land Registry or on the job sheet of the client.

What if the app does not find the parcel?

Check the spelling of the cadastral municipality, the section and the number, or use the code of the cadastral municipality, such as TTR00.
