Contracting
Navigation for agricultural contractors and farms
An agricultural contractor drives to different fields every day, often without an address, with machines that are wider than a truck. The Truckroute app finds the field and a route that fits.
To the field, not the address
The farmer gives a cadastral designation or the driver has it on the job sheet: type it in the address field, for example Barsingerhorn A 876 or TTR00 A 23, and the app navigates to the parcel and draws its outline on the map. See navigating to a parcel. A fixed place, such as the shed or a silage clamp, you save as a favourite.
A vehicle per combination
Save each combination as its own vehicle with the type Agricultural: the tractor with tipping trailer, with slurry tank or with a wide mower, the combine harvester, the self-propelled sprayer. With the right width, height and weight the route avoids the bridge that is too narrow, the low viaduct and the road with a weight limit.
Over roads where you may drive
The route drives over the RDW agricultural vehicles map and the roads up to 60 km/h, never on the expressway or motorway, and around sign C8. Under N roads you choose whether the route looks for N roads or avoids them. See navigation for agricultural vehicles.
In the truck too
Does the same company also drive trucks, for manure, grain or earthmoving? In the same app a truck calculates as a truck, with zones, charges and the signs for trucks, and it can navigate to a parcel as well.
Navigation for agricultural vehicles is part of the Truckroute app, for iPhone (with CarPlay) and Android. Choose the vehicle type Agricultural, enter the dimensions and weight, and navigate. The route planner on this site calculates for trucks and coaches; only the app calculates the agricultural route.
Frequently asked questions
